Unload Plastic


Goals:

 

 

Unloading Plastic Filament

To unload plastic filament from your Printer:

  1. Push in the black Push-To-Connect fitting to release the plastic filament feed tube.



  2. Pull the feed tube from the Push-To-Connect fitting to expose the plastic material and use a pair of cutters to cut the plastic at a 45 degree angle.
  3. Press the menu button in the upper right corner of the LCD screen on your printer.



  4. Select the "Materials" tile from the menu options.



  5. Select the "Unload Plastic" tile to run the unload plastic routine.



  6. Press "Next" to continue, when prompted.



  7. Take hold of the cut plastic material and help direct it free from the plastic extruder.
  8. Press "Stop" on the printer's touch screen when the plastic has been completely unloaded.
    Note: The extruder may click loudly when the plastic is extracted all the way. This is normal.



  9. Press "Next" on the printer's touch screen to continue with the routine.



  10. Press "Load Plastic" to load a different spool or "Not Now" to exit the routine.

Unloading Fiber Filament

To unload fiber from your printer:

  1. Press the menu button in the upper right corner of the LCD screen on your printer.



  2. Select the "Materials" tile from the menu options.



  3. Select the "Unload Fiber" tile to run the unload fiber routine.



  4. Press "Next" on the screen to disable the fiber extruder.



  5. Carefully rotate the spool to respool the extra fiber onto it.
  6. Tape the end of the fiber filament to keep it from unspooling and press the "Next" button on the printer's touch screen.



  7. Press "Load Plastic" to load a different spool or "Not Now" to exit the routine.
