Motherboard Replacement


Goals:

  1. Remove Motherboard
  2. Replace Motherboard

 

 

Removing the Motherboard

  1. Shut off your printer, remove the print bed, and unplug the power supply from the back panel.
  2. Place the printer upside down on a flat, stable surface.
  3. Remove the ten screws that attach the bottom plate to the printer and set them aside.



  4. Remove the bottom plate from the printer and set it aside.
  5. Unplug all connections from the motherboard.



  6. Remove the screws connecting the motherboard to the printer and set them aside.



  7. Remove the motherboard from your printer.

Replacing the Motherboard

  1. Place the new motherboard in your printer.
  2. Replace the screws that connect the motherboard to the printer.



  3. Reconnect the connections to the board.



  4. Replace the bottom plate on the printer.
  5. Replace the ten screws that connect the bottom plate to the printer.



  6. Turn the printer right side up and place it on a flat, stable surface.
  7. Plug the power cord in and turn the printer on. Ensure that it boots completely.
