Print a Part


Goals:

 

 

Printing to an Online Printer

If your printer is connected to Eiger, printing is as easy as pressing a button. Please make sure the print bed is set up and glued before you start printing.

To print a part with an Online, Available Printer:

  1. Open your part in Eiger and configure it as needed, then press "Save".



  2. Click "Print", at the bottom right corner of the screen, when you are done checking out the layers.
  3. Move the part to the desired position on the print bed.



  4. Change the orientation about the Z-axis of the part using the "Rotation" field.



  5. Enable or disable the "Cloud Print Generation" toggle button as desired.



  6. Select the printer you want to print to from the "Select Printer" drop-down, listed under “Available”.

  7. Press the "Print" button.



To print a part with an Online, Busy printer

  1. Open your part in Eiger and configure it as needed, then press "Save".



  2. Click "Print", at the bottom right corner of the screen, when you are done checking out the layers.
  3. Move the part to the desired position on the print bed.



  4. Change the orientation about the Z-axis of the part using the "Rotation" field.



  5. Enable or disable the "Cloud Print Generation" toggle button as desired.



  6. Select the printer you want to print to from the "Select Printer" drop-down, listed under "Busy".

  7. Press the "Print" button.



  8. Verify the print details and address any material warnings listed in the pop-up window.



  9. Select "Add to Queue" to add the print to the end of the print job queue for that printer, or select "Print Next" to add the print to the top of the print job queue for that printer.

Print to an Offline Printer

If your printer is connected to Eiger, printing is as easy as pressing a button. Please make sure the print bed is set up and glued before you start printing.

To print a part with an Online Printer:

  1. Click "Print", at the bottom right corner of the screen, when you are done checking out the layers.
  2. Move the part to the desired position on the print bed.



  3. Change the orientation about the Z-axis of the part using the "Rotation" field.



  4. Enable or disable the "Cloud Print Generation" toggle button as desired.



  5. Select your "Export Build" from the drop down menu in the "Printing Settings" panel at the right side of the screen.



  6. Press "Export Build" at the lower right corner of the screen.<



  7. Save the file that downloads to a FAT32 formatted USB drive and plug the USB drive into your printer.
  8. Press the menu button in the upper right corner of the LCD screen on your printer.



  9. Select the "Storage" tile from the menu options.



  10. Select the "Print From Storage" tile from the menu options.



  11. Select the part file on the screen.
