Why is there plastic tower/cylinder printed in the back corner of the bed during some prints and not others?
The cylinder that prints in the back corner of the print bed is called a "Purge Tower". The Purge Tower is only printed when a part uses fiber - it cleans out the small amount of plastic that has been sitting in the hot nozzle while the fiber is routed through the part.
The printer will print the purge tower up to the last layer of fiber in a part. If your part only has fiber at the bottom of the part, the purge tower will be small; if your part has fiber in the upper layers, the purge tower will be almost as tall as the part itself.
